FIELD OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates generally to the field of investments, inclusive of investing in all asset classes, and in particular to investing in hedge funds, without risking financial principal. The primary focus of the invention is to provide a method for investing in riskier assets while guaranteeing investment principal. The invention establishes principal guaranteed investments, which include, but are not limited to, hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, real estate, indices, philanthropy and investments related to all asset classes.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention comprises a system and method for implementing a hedge fund business model. The system and methods are preferably implemented by computer software stored and executed on a general purpose computer. This computer provides the Investor with the ability to direct the operation of the computer to invest in a hedge fund.

Abstract: A system and method for mass market hedge fund investing is proposed that preferably works in conjunction with the U.S. Treasury's Treasury Direct program for direct investment in U.S. Government securities. A primary investment in a principal-guaranteed, fixed term financial instrument, such as U.S. Government securities, including U.S. Notes, Bonds and Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities (TIPS) having principal linked to the Consumer Price Index, wherein the principal is guaranteed to the extent of the full faith and credit of the U.S. Government, generates an interest income stream. The interest stream is electronically diverted to a separate account within an aggregated pool invested in a hedge fund over a predetermined time horizon. The fund is preferably run by an experienced chief portfolio strategist and a money-management team.

Under the USTD program, individual investors can set up an account and purchase electronic securities directly from the U.S. Treasury. Treasury Direct account holders may purchase 4, 13, and 26-Week Treasury Bills, 2 3, 5, and 10-Year Notes, and 5, 10, and 20-Year TIPS. 30-Year Bonds will also be available when they are re-introduced by Treasury. Semiannual interest and final maturity payments are sent through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) network to the Investor's designated financial institution account. Interest and maturity payments may be sent to two different locations, depending upon the Investor's investment needs. The time horizon for the interest investment stream can be coordinated with the maturity date of the respective treasury that the Investor initially chooses. The Investor can plan with exactness for the timely payout of his guaranteed principal portion from the U.S. Government as well as the monies invested with the hedge fund or other asset class.

The custody arrangement with Custodian is prearranged at inception of the investing process. Investor opens an individual electronic funds transfer account and a Hedge Fund Sales and Marketing Account. Such accounts are in complete compliance with all banking regulations. Holding Company is provided with authorization to access accounting information pertaining to Sales and Marketing Account so that it can maintain oversight of the flow of investor's funds. Custodian, as a service provider, will have the primary responsibility for meeting all of the reporting requirements dictated by U.S. banking guidelines and regulations. Holding Company selects the Custodian and ensures that the bank selected remains viable. Preferably, by utilizing only U.S. banks and other regulated savings institutions. Holding Company can provide an additional safeguard for Investor as well as administrative efficiency effectuated by ever greater computer processing and redundant and secure computational resources

Research Department 370 is responsible for discovering new investment opportunities and information for Hedge Fund Manager 360. Research Department 370 preferably utilizes an objective template to analyze companies invested in during the second time horizon, no matter the size of the company. The key features are that such objective research a) eliminates (as much as possible) the issue of “bias” in analysis of a company, by taking both a “long” and “short” perspective on all companies under analysis and b) can be used by fund managers and company CEOs to better understand their companies' operations. We went live with The Next Big Investments on Wall Street on July 3rd, 2005. Sure, I was trying to read the tea leaves like anyone else who doesn't sport a crystal ball on their desk, but my research clearly showed that these six main categories (Women, Education, Environment, Solutions, Demand and Energy) were all dramatically changing our planet for the better while driving far greater efficiencies like never before. Today, a decade later, this is now clearly the case.
But then a funny thing happened, that wasn't funny at all. Both the aggressive and passive-aggressive forces that profit from the status quo, kicked in. And for the past decade their outsized pay checks and disproportionate bonuses have kept on flowing their way too. I'm shocked frankly that so-called sophisticated investors from Family Offices to Pension Funds to Endowments, are willing to continue to back these losers. Bad actors and/or once talented investors, like old baseball players, way past their prime, who are nothing more than vultures after investor money.
Vultures that I compare to being like tyrants of wars past and terrorists today, all making destructive and desperate attempts to promote perverse ideologies in an attempt at world domination (did anyone say "Masters of the Universe" and YES, I am comparing The War on Women, The War on Education, The War on The Environment and The War on New Energy to tyrant's regimes of wars past and also to present day terrorists ...i.e. A small faction of the population that try and manipulate the populist into submission by force, intimidation, and greed).
Odd thing is though, back in the day, Wall Street was all about betting on greater efficiency. Before, that is, Wall Street was hijacked by the too big to fail Banks and the destructive forces of narcissism, elitism and greed that permeate the male dominated venture capital, private equity and hedge fund world (to call out the staid and underperforming hedge fund and Alternatives world we're in).
In retrospect, with hindsight being 20/20, a decade ago these six Contrarian but emerging bets (Women, Education, Environment, Solutions, Demand and Energy...New Energy) were not only spot on where the smart money should be, but is today exactly where the smart money needs to be to be able to make long-term, sustainable investments. The best thing about sustainable investments?? Unlike bets on a roulette table, they continue to pay off for years.
One additional thought. Speaking of catalysts. Since posting The Next Big Investments on Wall Street back in 2005, it has also become clear to me that Intellectual Property is the Mother-of-All Catalysts, dramatically driving The Markets today. We are, and I suggest that you be on the lookout and hunt for patents and other additional intellectual property that relates in any way to any and/or all six major categories: Women, Education, Environment, Solutions, Demand and (New) Energy. That's where we are today. 2015. (a couple edits done for clarity and relevancy.)

On Tuesday of last week NASA got out ahead of the biggest historical news story of this Saturday morning, July 20, 2024, when 55 years ago American innovation, grit and perseverance landed Neil Armstrong and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin on the surface of the moon where they set foot.
Mission accomplished that was set forth on September 12th, 1962 by President John F. Kennedy at Rice University in his "We Choose to Go to The Moon" speech.
Said President Kennedy at Rice on that day in 1962...
"We choose to go to the moon. We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard, because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one which we intend to win, and the others, too."

While my six best investments in 2005, Women, Education, Environment, Solutions, Demand and (New) Energy are all facing extreme opposition and push back as I write this, each has become A MILLENNIAL FORCE and with that, vast blue sky. Therefore, on this memorable, amazing day, SPACE is The Next Big Investment on Wall Street in 2025.
As far as we go in SPACE will determine just how far we go here on Earth. We are in the age of DEEP TECH that will take us to where STAR TREK dreamed possible.
There's only one way we get to MARS and beyond. Our Best and Brightest, period. Same here on earth v. The Climate Crisis, Hunger, Poverty, Sexism, Racism and Homophobia. Ultimately PEACE will be determined by how far we go in SPACE.
